Update: Thanks again for your patience while we work through this issue. The water outage has been reduced to customers adjacent to the 12-inch water main break at 1300 West and 3300 South. Traffic impacts in this area are confined to the south eastbound lane on 3300 South. Customers between 1200 West and Bangerter Highway may still be experiencing sediment in their water. Even though it is safe to drink, we recommend running cold water in a bathtub or hose bib for 15 minutes to help flush it out. Our crews are working diligently to repair the line as quickly as possible however, we still expect it to be late in the evening before it’s resolved. We’ll keep you updated.

GHID experienced a 24” main line break early this morning. Pressure did drop in the area significantly around 5:30 am and has recovered due to system adjustments and isolation of the break.
This break caused sediments in the pipes to stir up. You may experience discoloration for a time. We are recommending running COLD water in a bathtub or hose bib for 15 minutes to help flush out the sediments.
GHID crews are working diligently to repair the water line. Unfortunately, we estimate the issue may not be resolved until later this evening, possibly into the early morning hours. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
